Sekisui Aqua Road is a resin aquifer material which can be used underground of roads. After successive development of roads in Japan, the size of roads, including widened and extended expressways and general public roads, has become significant. However, the underground of these roads have not been fully utilized except for certain lifelines. In order to help further utilization of the underground of roads, we used our expertise and technology in the EPS Civil Engineering Method and developed Aqua Road, where stormwater-storage osmotic cells can be built underneath roads so that such space can be effectively used.
