"PIOCELAN" is a foam resin to which polyolefin characteristics are added via Sekisui's original polymer hybrid technology. By the hybridization of polyolefin, in addition to the excellent characteristics of expanded polystyrene (EPS), such as rigidity and low density foaming, properties such as shock resistance, chemical resistance and abrasion resistance, previously regarded as weak points of EPS, have been significantly improved.

<Major features of Piocelan foamed grains>

・Ability to be freely molded into shapes: Like EPS, they can be freely designed to match the shapes of materials and parts and packed contents. ・Conventional EPS molding device can be used: Piocelan can be molded by conventional EPS molding devices, which are widely used worldwide, and therefore there is no need to introduce a new molding device. ・Foaming agent contains hydrocarbon (HC): Like EPS, Piocelan foamed grains contain foaming agent that uses hydrocarbon (HC), which originates in the nature.
