Super Soilen System
Lightweight Greening Construction Method
This is a rooftop greening method which is effective in controlling the heat island phenomenon.
In the rooftop greening using the Super Soilen System, weight load on buildings is reduced by light-weight artificial soil foundations and water-retention foundation made of polystyrene foam. It contributes to urban landscaping, CO2 reduction, energy-saving, and controlling of the heat-island phenomenon.
Rooftop thermal insulation is improved when the Super Soilen System is used.
In the daytime of a sunny day in August, the temperature in asphalt-paved sections can be heated and reach up to 60degrees when the temperature in planted areas is around 30degrees. Therefore, there is a close to 30degrees difference in the surface temperature between green areas and exposed areas. From this, we see how significant the transpiration effect is in controlling the heat-island phenomenon when the vaporization heat of plant leaves is used. The Super Soilen System thus improves the efficiency of air conditioning and heating, and is effective in energy saving and controlling the heat-island phenomenon.
