ST-gel sheet

This is a skin-friendly gel material with excellent viscosity, electrical conductivity, and flexibility.

ST-gel is a hydrogel which was created by Sekisui's unique polymerization technology. It is a high-function, highly-safe raw material. Water, and if necessary, moisturizing agent and electrolyte, are stably maintained in a hydrophilic resin matrix.

Major features of ST-gel

Viscosity: Adhesiveness can be adjusted in a wide range from high viscosity at the body adhesive tape level to almost no viscosity. Electrical conductivity: By blending electrolyte, it is possible to obtain ion conductivity. We can offer a wide range of impedance applications, from low impedance for electrocardiogram and other body sensors, to high impedance for TENS and stimulation electrode, as well as fields that do not require electrical conductivity. Elasticity: In general, gels have elasticity, but lacks tension strength. We offer high-elasticity products with low viscosity and high tension strength. Stability: Gels in general loses their characteristics when left unattended through drying. However, moisture change of Technogel can be reduced even left unattended in a room. Safety: By using the Company's unique polymerization technology, reactive property of Technogel is controlled, and in turn, the amount of residual monomer is reduced. It is highly safe and skin-friendly raw material.
